Dr. Dornbusch has devoted his clinical and scientific work in particular to infectious disease topics including his habilitation (2009) on the subject of “Diagnostic markers for early detection of infectious complications in immunocompromised children and adolescents”. He is author and co-author of numerous publications, holds a teaching position for pediatric infectious diseases at the Medical University of Graz, and regularly gives lectures, especially in the context of further training in infectious diseases and vaccinology. Currently, Dr. Dornbusch holds vaccine related positions including head of the vaccination board of the Austrian Society for Paediatrics and Adolescent Medicine and chairman of the European Academy of Paediatrics (EAP) “Vaccination Strategic Advisory Group”.
