Shai Ashkenazi completed medical education in Israel and fellowship in pediatric infectious diseases in USA. His research includes novel vaccines and molecular pathogenicity of infectious diseases. He is Professor and Dean at the Adelson School of Medicine, Ariel University, member of the National Council for Child Health, Education Committee of the World Society for Pediatric Infectious Diseases, Editorial Boards of international journals, co-author of >300 publications, >30 chapters and Editor of the Hebrew Textbook of Pediatrics. He received research grants from NIH, European Union, Chief Scientist, the USA-Israel Bi-national Science Foundation, pharmaceutical companies, and Education Award of the European Society for Paediatric Infectious Diseases.

I am a specialist in pediatric gastroenterology and Head of Pediatric GI Motility Lab, Medical University of Warsaw, Poland. I'm a Core Group member of ESPGHAN Motility Special Interest Group and secretery of Motility Section of Polish Society for Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition. My main areas of interest are the functional gastrointestinal disorders in children with a special interest in motility disorders and tests in children after surgery for congenital disorders. My main research aims are the implementation of new technologies in motility testing and their standardization in the pediatric population.

Silvia Bressan

Silvia Bressan, MD, PhD is the head of the pediatric emergency department and associate professor of pediatrics at the University of Padova, Italy. She is the chair of PERN (Pediatric Emergency Research Networks), coordinating the dialogue between member networks and collaboration between large numbers of researchers and investigative sites across the world.

Her research and clinical interests focus on acute pediatric conditions, including head trauma and concussion, on which she published over 50 papers. She also coordinated and published the Italian Guidelines on pediatric head injury and she has recently coordinated the translation in Italian of the CISG Sport Concussion Assessment Tools. Her other research interests include medical simulation and, more recently, artificial intelligence.  

She has published over 150 peer reviewed papers, and has secured substantial funding from local, national and international competitive grants.

Perran Boran

Perran Boran is a Pediatrician and Sleep Researcher with expertise in early childhood sleep and parental mental health. She is a Professor of Pediatrics at Marmara University, where she founded and directs the Social Pediatrics PhD Program. She also established and leads the Pediatric Behavioral Sleep Disorders Clinic, providing care for young children since 2016. Prof. Boran contributes actively to international sleep education. She co-developed the Tier 3 Pediatrics Course at the World Sleep Academy and served as its Associate Director (2024–2025). She is also the published author of a parenting and sleep book aimed at supporting families with young children.

I am an Associate Professor at the University of Oxford and consultant in paediatric infectious diseases and immunology and Children’s Hospital, Oxford. I work in several large European collaborative research studies and am chief and principal investigator on multiple clinical trials investigating novel diagnostics, treatments, vaccines and monoclonal antibodies for a variety of infectious conditions.  My main research interests are maternal and infant vaccinology, management, prevention and host susceptibility to respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) and other respiratory viral infections, and perinatal infections.

His research has mainly been focused on environmental hazards, human biomonitoring, use and abuse of antibiotics and vaccines.  Dr. Hadjipanayis has published more than hundred and fifty peer reviewed articles in paediatric journals. He is an author and co-editor of the book “European Mastercourse in Paediatrics” and he has also published numerous books for parents.

He is the immediate past president of the European Academy of Pediatrics, he is the deputy executive director of International Paediatric Assoxition, he is the director of the paediatric department of Larnaca General Hospital and the medical director of the hospital.

Karadag was graduated from Istanbul Faculty of Medicine in 1992. In 2005, he carried out studies on epidemiology of allergic diseases at the Department of Pediatric Allergy at the University of Munich. Since 2011, he has been the Head of the Division of Pediatric Pulmonology at Marmara University. He has been a member of Executive Committee of Turkish Pediatric Association since 2022. He is currently the the Chair of the European  Respiratory Society Pediatric Cystic Fibrosis Group. In 2024, he received the Philip Hopewell Global Leadership and Research Prize by the American Thoracic Society.

Juan Pablo Kaski

Juan Pablo Kaski is Professor of Paediatric Inherited Cardiovascular Medicine at the UCL Institute of Cardiovascular Science, where he leads the UCL Centre for Paediatric Inherited and Rare Cardiovascular Diseases, and Consultant Paediatric Cardiologist at Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH), London, UK. He is the Director of the GOSH Centre for Inherited Cardiovascular Diseases.

His clinical and research interests are focused on the clinical and genetic characterisation of cardiomyopathies and other inherited cardiovascular disease, and sudden cardiac death in childhood. He leads an internationally recognised research programme in the field of paediatric cardiomyopathy, having established a unique clinical cohort and the only UK bioresource for paediatric inherited cardiovascular disease, with the aim of stratifying disease phenotypes and identifying novel therapeutic targets.

He is Secretary/Treasurer of the European Society of Cardiology (ESC) Council on Cardiovascular Genomics and sits on the Executive Board of the ESC Cardiomyopathy and Myocarditis Registry Programme. He has also served as Chair and Secretary of the Association for European Paediatric Cardiology (AEPC) Working Group on Genetics, Basic Science and Myocardial Disease.

He leads an international paediatric HCM consortium of over 65 centres, which was responsible for the development of the first sudden death risk prediction model for childhood HCM. He chaired the Task Force for the 2023 European Society of Cardiology Cardiomyopathy Guidelines.

Prof Manuel Katz is an Israeli, Argentinean born Pediatrician married to Ana, has 3 children and 8 grandchildren. During his  52 years in practice was active as senior Pediatrician in hospital and community settings, docent in Pediatrics , with management positions as Deputy General Director at a tertiary care hospital and Medical Director in a HMO in Israel. Was for 8 years Director of Maternal and Child Health Department at the Southern area on Israel. Dr Katz has an Academic fellowship in Health Policy and Management at Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore, USA and a Position as consultant and Senior Lecturer in Pediatrics from Nottingham UK,

Prof Katz created in 1987 the Academic Primary Care Pediatric centers in Israel and was the first to publish (Pediatrics, 2024) the situation of care delivering for children and pediatric training in Community setting in Europe.

Dr Katz is Professor in Pediatrics at Maimonides University (Argentina), NIMS University , India  and  (Ret Docent) at Ben Gurion University (Israel),

His current position is Director of School Medicine In Femi health Services. Was head of Risk Management and Patient Safety at Meuhedet Health Services and Director of pediatrics in the biggest HMO .

From 2016 is President of "GOSHEN" foundation, dedicated to creating a holistic community healthcare environment in a pioneering approach to 21st century early child development. From the last 25 years is chairing the Israel Steering Committee on Domestic Violence, sexual abuse and helpless populations, and is member of the National Council for Pediatrics and Child health of the Israel Ministry of Health

Prof Katz is Past President from the Israel Pediatric Association from 1996 to 2000 and two-times Chairman of the Ambulatory Pediatric Society, (1991-1995) and (2013-2017)

He was IPA Standing Committee member representing Europe, as Secretary General of the European Pediatric Association, and was nominated to the IPA Presidency position. Is a member and former Council member to ECPCP and ISSOP. From 2011 Prof Katz is the chair of the Global Initiative for Consensus in Pediatrics ( CIP).

Is member of the IPA SAG (international Pediatrics ) on Early Childhood Development Term 2021-2025                

During his carrier was distinguished with local and International awards as the "lifetime achievements in Pediatrics and Child Health" from the Israeli Ambulatory Pediatric Association, Life time achievements in Community from the Israel Medical Association and the "International Lifetime award in Pediatrics" at the PGHTNCON in India. In 1996 was invited to the AAP as "leader in pediatrics".

He is "Honoris Causa" of the Slovakian Pediatric Association and honor member of several National and International Pediatric Societies.

AI is a tool that really can revolutionize health sciences training. We are only at the beginning, yet the possibilities are already immense.When I'm not pondering the future of medical pedagogy, you can probably find me on a Reformer or at a Parisian terrace.

He is Professor of Clinic of Children’s Diseases of Institute of Clinical Medicine since 2002 and Research Professor of Institute of Health Sciences at Vilnius University Faculty of Medicine, President of Labour Council of Vilnius University, Head of Clinic of Asthma, Allergy and Chronic Lung Diseases, Chairman of Mother and Child Commission of Lithuanian Academy of Sciences, Founder and President of Lithuanian Paediatric Respiratory Society (since 1998), President of Vilnius Paediatric Society, Vice-President of Lithuanian Paediatric Society (President 2005-2015), Founder and Chairman of Executive Committee of IPOKRaTES Lithuanian Fund (since 1994), Founder and CEO of Vilnius International Paediatric Pulmonology and Allergology School (since 1996), Editor-in-Chief of Lithuanian National Evidence-Based Guidelines in Paediatric Pulmonology (Bronchial Asthma, Allergic Rhinitis, Community-Acquired Pneumonia, Cystic Fibrosis, Tuberculosis), Founder and Editor-in-Chief of the Scientific Journal “Paediatric Pulmonology and Allergology”, Chairman of the NITAG of the Lithuanian MoH. Prof Valiulis initiated the first Baltic Paediatric Congress (BPC) in 2011 and was the President of the 1st and 4th BPC, organised together with the Spring Meetings of EAP/UEMS-SP. In 2020, he established the Human Ecology Multidisciplinary Research Group and led air pollution, climate change and child health research at Vilnius University. He is elected as Honorary Professor of Poltava State Medical University (Ukraine) and  Honorary Fellow of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (UK).

Dr. Rodrigo Vázquez Frias is a pediatric gastroenterologist and nutritionist, currently serving as the Subdirector of Research at the Hospital Infantil de México Federico Gómez (HIMFG) and a Professor of Pediatric Gastroenterology and Nutrition at the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM). He holds a Master’s and Ph.D. in Medical Sciences Research from UNAM, as well as a Master’s in Microbiota from Universidad Europea of Madrid. Dr. Vázquez Frias has made significant contributions to the field through over 65 scientific publications and 15 book chapters. He is the current President of the Latin American Society of Pediatric Gastroenterology and Nutrition.

She has specialization in pediatrics, cardiology and pediatric cardiology.  She leads the Department of Pediatric Cardiology at the Center for Postgraduate Medical Education in Warsaw and has been a lecturer for many years for physicians specializing in pediatrics and pediatric cardiology.

Her clinical and research interests are focused on the clinical and genetic characterization of cardiomyopathies and other inherited or acquired cardiovascular disease and sudden cardiac death in childhood.

She is the Chair of the Main Audit Committee of the Polish Pediatric Society, vice Chair of the Warsaw Branch of the Polish Pediatric Society, member of the Working Group on Genetics, Basic Science and Myocardial Disease of the Association for European Paediatric Cardiology (AEPC). She is a member of an International Pediatric Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy Consortium, which was responsible for the development of the first sudden death risk prediction model for childhood hypertrophic cardiomyopathy.
